Sweat Pink & BOSU Strong Challenge Week #2



Week #1 of the BOSU Strong Challenge went great! I have to admit that I was pretty sore by the end of the week! I had not done much strength training at all in the past 6 months. I was in the thick of Ironman training and something in my routine had to give to get in all the swimming, biking, and running! Onward to week #2 of the Challenge, which is all about BALANCE.

 6 ways I stay balanced


If you forgot to join me last week for the #BOSUStrong challenge or just weren’t up for the cardio, make sure you join me this week as it’s all about the balance! We’re standing on one leg, lunging, and BOSU squatting our way through the week.

But balance means more than just being able to stand on one leg, it also means being able to do what you love while making healthy choices at the same time. It means putting in the work and still finding time for Family Fun. Or eating the Pizza on Friday with the kids but balancing it out with Healthy choices during the week. Or Practicing Yoga poses and Lifiting Weights at home when you can’t make it to the gym.

Here are the 6 ways I stay balanced - what are yours?

I make time for myself by Getting up early before the kids.
My favorite me time is Early morning or later at night after everyone is in bed.
My rule when it comes to a balanced diet is Including vegetables in every meal.
I make fitness a priority by Scheduling it, just like an appointment at the Doctor.
When I get stressed or overwhelmed, my go to is Running.
I do a lot of planning ahead to help my family stay balanced.

    1. "Tree" Yoga Pose 
    2.  Lunges
    3.  Side Planks
    4.  Knee Bends with one leg straight out
    5.  Squats
    6.  Arabesque

    Monday 9/21: Stand on one Leg and Balance!

    Tuesday 9/22: Squats

    Wednesday 9/23: Lunges

    Thursday 9/24: Total Body Balance, perhaps a Yoga or TRX Class :-)

    Friday 9/25: Free Friday, do your favorite Cardio Routine!!
