Friday 5: Favorite Fitness Bloggers

I am participating in the Trifecta Friday Five link-up hosted by Cynthia at You Signed Up for What, Courtney at Eat, Pray, Run DC, and Mar at Mar on the Run.  This week's theme is: Favorite Fitness Bloggers. I read a number of different blogs about health and fitness. I love reading about real people fitting it all in! All of the blogs motivate and inspire me for me different reasons.

Here are my Top 5:

1. Triathlon Mami- by Cristina De Molina Ramirez who lives in Florida. I love her eloquent writing style. I enjoy reading how she fits it all in as a Mom, writer, and triathlete. She is also a great role model and has started up some wonderful Advocacy programs, such as the "Camillus House Children's Run Team" and "Thumbs-Up Internatioal" and much, much more! Please check out her blog to read about all of the phenomenal things she has done!

2. Run, Selfie, Repeat- by Kelly K. Roberts. Kelly took up running a short time ago and her story made the headlines in 2014 while "hottie hunting" during the New York City Half Marathon. She took "selfies' with unsuspecting men running behind her and the outcome was hilarious! I discovered her on instagram and some of her photos have made me laugh so hard that I cried! There is much more to her story, which you can find on a series of You Tube Videos.  Click here to watch the first one that talks about how and why she became a runner.

3. Mary Eggers- Mary Eggers is a phenomenal athlete (8x Ironman Finisher), coach, writer, and Registered Nurse.  I found her blog after she famously raced Lance Armstrong (back before his troubles were known) in a 50 yard kick in the pool to raise money for "Teens Living with Cancer". I was intrigued and inspired by her story and have followed her ever since. Her blog posts are heart felt, but blunt and she is always seeking new adventures. Recently, she has taken up Stand-Up Paddle Board (SUP) racing and that has been fun to follow!

4. Run to the Finish- by Amanda Brooks. Run to the Finish is one of the first fitness blogs that I started to follow. It is motivating and informative! Amanda is a runner, yogi, and writer and I have learned so much over the past few years following her journey.

5. Carrot Bowl- This is a blog I recently discovered and I absolutely love it! I stumbled upon an interview that Bonnie wrote about a triathlete and was very inspired. The story was part of her series of "Dynamo Interviews" that highlight the health journeys of other people. Then, I found her on instagram and enjoy her daily pictures of different Yoga poses. She also has some pretty fantastic recipes on her blog! Check it out!!

What are your favorite Fitness Blogs to follow? Have you checked out any of the ones mentioned above?

Have a Great Week!! :-)
